You were just enticed into opening a readme file. WAIT, Don't close it yet! See the pretty icons down below in the text? Please take a second to learn about the very cool, yet hidden, features of GURU.
Number 0: Make sure that Virtual Memory has been turned OFF. Make sure that RAM Doubler™ has been deactivated. Make sure that 32-bit Addressing is ON.
Number 1: Make sure you read the "Legal Mumbo Jumbo" at the bottom of the scrolling window in the "About GURU" dialog box. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the data in this application, however, as with all things there may be mistakes. If you should find a mistake please don't yell, scream, or threaten us with legal action. We would rather have you contact us and inform us of the bone head error and we will attempt to fix it in the next release of GURU. We have been known to cry when people act hostile towards us.
Number 2: If you have PlainTalk installed you can listen to GURU read to you. To hear GURU speak simply click on the PlainTalk Icon located next to the Glossary and the Notes windows. If you hold down the Option key while you click on the PlainTalk Icon you will get a popup window which displays all of your installed voices. Choose the voice you wish to hear your notes read in. You may also set a default voice, in the Preferences, for notes to be read in.
Number 3: If you have many windows open in GURU you can close them all at one time by holding down the Option key and clicking in any one of the window's close box. You may also accomplish this by simply choosing "Close All" from the File Menu.
Number 4: If you click on either the computer icon or the monitor icon you will get a "poink" sound. Why? Just because we like to make that sound. Got a better sound? Send it to us at any of the BBS addresses listed in the "About GURU" window.
